When growing succulents indoors, good placement can make all the difference in plant health and appearance. Green varieties tend to tolerate the lowest light levels. To keep colorful varieties vibrant, we recommend placing them near a bright window or under a dedicated grow light. Use gritty soil and pots with drainage holes to prevent standing water and rot. To water, drench the plant deeply enough for water to run out the pot's drainage hole. Leave to dry in a sunny spot with great airflow and only water again when the soil is fully dry and the leaves just start to feel flexible.

The combination of high heat, drought, and full sun can cause permanent succulent sunburns, so try to shade your arrangements on particularly hot, summer afternoons.
