Caring for succulent arrangements is relatively easy. Specific care instructions for each arrangement are listed on their product pages, but the general guidelines below will help you keep all succulent arrangements thriving.
When growing succulents indoors, good placement can make all the difference in plant health and appearance. Green varieties tend to tolerate the lowest light levels. To keep colorful varieties vibrant, we recommend placing them near a bright window or under a dedicated grow light. Use gritty soil and pots with drainage holes to prevent standing water and rot. To water, drench the plant deeply enough for water to run out the pot's drainage hole. Leave to dry in a sunny spot with great airflow and only water again when the soil is fully dry and the leaves just start to feel flexible.
Frost hardy succulents like Sempervivum (Hens & Chicks) and Sedum grow best outdoors. Keep these arrangements in partial to full sun and protect from heavy rains. The combination of high heat, drought, and full sun can cause permanent succulent sunburns, so try to shade your arrangements on particularly hot, summer afternoons. As with indoor succulents, use well-draining pots / soil, and only water when the soil is dry and the leaves start to feel flexible.
Succulents can thrive tightly packed together in a pot, but if they're starting to overflow, you can transplant them into a larger container. They also take well to regular pruning and re-rooting, which keeps them tidy and compact.
