AIR PLANT CARE: Tillandsia are native to humid environments and collect water from the air, so it is important to water them regularly if they are expected to live into January. For best results, choose one of the following watering strategies:
- Mist generously 2-6 times a week
- Submerge completely 1-3 times a week, or
- Soak for an hour every 1-2 weeks
To prevent rot, shake off excess water and give enough airflow for the plant to dry within 4 hours.
Air plants do not need to be transplanted into soil. Keep them indoors with lots of indirect light and continue to mist, submerge, or soak them regularly.
