Sempervivum 'Malby's Hybrid': Showy bright red rosette with a lime green heart. Leaves are lined with a long cilia fringe. Grows best outdoors in partial sun and will tolerate extended frost and drought. Needs great drainage and protection from heavy rain.

Best planted in clusters, Sempervivum throw new offsets (chicks) each spring. Once a plant blooms, it dies, but the chicks carry on for future years, maturing and making their own offsets. Common names are 'Hens & Chicks' and 'Houseleeks'.
