Highlights
Sedum cauticola 'Lidakense' (now Hylotelephium cauticola): Blue-grey foliage that can flush lavender. It is a stemmed grower, reaching about 8.0" tall. The leaves are thick and disc-like with a glaucous appearance. It blooms in early autumn with showy clusters of fuchsia flowers that attract pollinators. This cultivar looks particularly striking when planted in drifts along borders.
Please Note: Dormant in winter months, losing aboveground foliage. If you order November - March, plant will arrive dormant, but will typically re-sprout by mid-May in most areas.
Hardy Sedum are easy, frost-hardy plants that thrive outdoors with full sun and great drainage. Plant in raised beds or containers with drainage holes and mix 50% coarse sand, pumice, or perlite into the soil to prevent rot. Regular water will help young plants establish roots and spread quickly, but mature Sedum can tolerate several months of drought. If you choose to propagate by hand, cut off the top 2.0"+ of stem and transplant it to re-root.
