Highlights
Rabiea albinota (N.E.Br.): A clumping mesemb with long, upright leaves of a bumpy blue-green. It grows clusters of foliage from its expansive root system. Once established, it blooms freely in spring and summer with showy yellow flowers. It goes dormant during the winter and should be kept dry.
Ebracteloa are very forgiving plants that are similar to Delosperma in their care needs. They need good drainage and light. They do quite well in rock gardens or other outdoor arrangements but tend to suffer indoors. This opportunistic plant will grow where the water is, so be careful not to let it escape into other parts of your garden where it may not be welcome. Unlike Delosperma, Ebracteola grows on a caudex, a root system that's thick and raised above the soil over time.
