Euphorbia 'Cocklebur' (a.k.a. Euphorbia x japonica): A nearly woody Euphorbia with a strong clumping habit. The stem and offsets quickly cork at their base so much of its photosynthesis is done via deciduous leaves. This plant ships as a bare root specimen without a pot. The specimen will be roughly 2.5"-3.5". 

PLEASE NOTE: Euphorbia contain a white, latex sap that can cause skin irritation or allergic reaction. Use gloves and eye protection to handle.

Euphorbia will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. They need bright sunlight, great drainage, and infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 75% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. Water deeply and wait for the soil to completely dry out before watering again.
