Highlights
Echeveria 'Salsa Verde' is a vibrant and compact succulent that brings fresh energy to any space with its lush, lime-green rosettes edged in a subtle blush of pink or red under bright light. The thick, fleshy leaves form a tidy, symmetrical shape, making it perfect for containers, succulent arrangements, or sunny windowsills. Its vivid green color evokes the zesty brightness of its namesake, standing out beautifully among more muted succulents. Low-maintenance and drought-tolerant, 'Salsa Verde' thrives in well-draining soil and plenty of sunlight, rewarding growers with year-round appeal and the occasional charming bloom spike. It's an excellent choice for adding a pop of color and structure to indoor or outdoor plantings. Fully rooted in a 2" pot.
Like most succulents, they need great drainage and infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. Water deeply enough for water to run out the drainage hole, then wait for the soil to fully dry before watering again.
Also known as "Mexican Hens & Chicks", Echeveria can produce new offsets or "chicks" around the base of the mother plant. These chicks can be left to form a tidy cluster or removed and transplanted. Additionally, Echeveria can be propagated from stem cuttings or mature leaves. Look to our Succulent Cuttings Guide for more information.
