Highlights
Echeveria 'Chubbs' is a delightfully plump and playful succulent known for its chunky, rounded leaves that form tight, compact rosettes in soothing shades of pale green to bluish-gray. The thick, chubby foliage often blushes with pink tones along the edges when exposed to bright sunlight, adding to its cheerful charm. Ideal for small containers, fairy gardens, or mixed succulent displays, 'Chubbs' thrives in well-draining soil with plenty of light and minimal water. Its low-growing, tidy shape and easy-care nature make it a favorite for both beginners and collectors looking to add a touch of whimsy and texture to their plant collection. Fully rooted in a 2" pot.
Like most succulents, Echeveria need great drainage and infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. Water deeply enough for water to run out the drainage hole, then wait for the soil to fully dry before watering again.
Also known as "Mexican Hens & Chicks", Echeveria can produce new offsets or "chicks" around the base of the mother plant. These chicks can be left to form a tidy cluster or removed and transplanted. Additionally, Echeveria can be propagated from stem cuttings or mature leaves. Look to our Succulent Cuttings Guide for more information.
