Highlights
Delosperma sphalmanthoides - Tufted Ice Plant: An adorable, frost hardy ground cover that forms dense matts of tiny, finger-like foliage. The leaves are a glaucous blue-green and have a sea anemone-like appearance. This is a prolific bloomer that explodes in a sea of large, fuchsia blooms in early spring. This plant is fully rooted in a 3.5" pot.
Frost hardy Delosperma are easy plants that thrive outdoors with full sun and great drainage. Plant in raised beds or containers with drainage holes and mix 50% coarse sand, pumice, or perlite into the soil to prevent rot. Regular water will help young plants establish roots and spread quickly, but mature Delosperma can tolerate several months of drought. If you choose to propagate by hand, cut off the top 2.0"+ of stem and transplant it to re-root.
