Highlights
Floating Pigmyweed (Crassula natans var. minus) (Rowley): A unique, semi-aquatic succulent. Unlike almost all succulents, this variety thrives in standing water. It spreads readily in seasonal pools, branching and floating at the surface. It has long, rounded leaves of green that can tinge reddish when stressed. It usually blooms in late winter with tiny white flowers. C. natans is native to South Africa but has naturalized in Southeastern Australia.
Grow this variety in rich soil and water regularly. Its stems can sprawl to about 4.0" and spill nicely from containers. It tolerates a wide range of light conditions but more sunlight will expose reddish tones.
