Highlights

Chick Charms® Cotton Candy™: A lovely red and green rosette with heavy webbing, and a larger S. arachnoideum than most. This cultivar produces lots of offsets each spring and develops into a tidy clump. Like other webbed varieties, it benefits from a layer of gravel top dressing that acts as a barrier between the soil and leaves, preventing rot. Also known as S. arachnoideum 'Emily' (van der Steen).

Hens & Chicks need plenty of outdoor sunlight to show their best colors and maintain a tight rosette form. They thrive in gritty, well-draining soils and pots with drainage holes. They produce new offsets or "chicks" on stolons. These chicks can be left to form tidy clusters or removed to share and transplant.

Sempervivum do most of their growing in the spring and summer, and will thrive with weekly watering and afternoon shade if temperatures exceed 80F. They are incredibly frost hardy and will happily thrive through winter under an insulating blanket of snow. Protect from heavy rains and standing water to prevent rot.

You're going to want to look at these Bulk Trays of Frost Hardy Succulents. The MCG Ultimate Tray includes a mix of frost hardy and temperate succulents. Temperate succulents can be outdoors for much of the year, but they do need to come inside before any chance of freezing temperatures.

Each of the succulents in this tray comes fully rooted in its own 2" square, plastic grow pot with drainage holes. It's always good plant hygiene to replant into a new pot with well-draining soil (or in the ground if they're hardy in your Grow Zone), but your succulents can stay in the grow pots they arrive in for up to about a month after delivery if necessary.
