Highlights
Ceropegia woodii 'String of Arrows': Fill your quiver at Mountain Crest Gardens with this lovely cousin of String of Hearts! This plant has more pointed foliage and takes on a lighter coloration of lime green and silver. It can also flush pink in bright sunlight. Given its thin leaves and stems, it likes a bit more frequent watering than most succulents. It shines in a hanging pot and can grow trailing stems 2.0'-3.0' long. It can develop tubers (underground or aerial) and grows a woody caudex as it matures.
Soft succulents will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. They need bright, indirect sunlight, good drainage, and infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. Water deeply enough for water to run out the drainage hole, then wait for the soil to fully dry before watering again.
