Highlights

Aloe aristata 'Lunar Eclipse': A dazzling succulent cultivar known for its symmetrical rosette of deep green leaves speckled with white spots and finely serrated, cilia-fringed edges. Its architectural form and vivid contrast give it a dramatic, celestial appeal—hence the name 'Lunar Eclipse'. This compact, slow-growing plant is both ornamental and resilient, thriving in bright, indirect light and gritty, well-draining soil.

The leaves of this rosette are thickly lined with white cilia and a dense smattering of white bumps makes it resemble its relatives in the Haworthia genus. During the summer growing season it can send up a 12.0"-18.0" tall bloom stalk with tubular, peach-colored flowers that attract pollinators.

Soft succulents will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. They need ample sunlight, great drainage, and infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. Water deeply enough for water to run out the drainage hole, then wait for the soil to fully dry before watering again.
