Highlights
Queen Victoria Agave (Agave victoriae-reginae) (Moore): A naturally-occurring species from Mexico's Chihuahuan Desert with incredible thick, white, bud prints. It can grow up to 15.0" tall and 24.0" wide and maintains a dense, globular form. The leaves can be rounded or keeled, and though they do not have toothed margins they do have sharp spikes at their tips. This slow grower only flowers at the end of its life and will last decades before sending up a 10.0'-16.0' bloom stalk.
Agave need plenty of full, outdoor sunlight and great drainage to thrive. They do well in gritty, mineral soils and pots with drainage holes. Over time you'll see new offsets or "pups" sprout up around the base of the mother plant.
Agave grow slowly in the spring and summer and can tolerate high heat and extended drought. This variety is not frost hardy. Protect from heavy rains and standing water to prevent rot.
