Highlights
Agave parryi var. huachucensis (Benson): A ocean blue rosette packed with leaves. Each leaf is armed with a large, coppery terminal spine and lots of shorter spines along its margins. The surface of each leaf is patterned by the imprint of the leaf before it, lending it an almost stitched look. It makes for a large landscaping plant, reaching up to 2.0' tall and 3.0' in diameter.
Agave need plenty of full, outdoor sunlight and great drainage to thrive. They do well in gritty, mineral soils and pots with drainage holes. Over time you'll see new offsets or "pups" sprout up around the base of the mother plant.
Agave grow slowly in the spring and summer and can tolerate high heat and extended drought. This variety is somewhat frost hardy, especially if kept dry. Protect from heavy rains and standing water to prevent rot.
