Highlights
Sedum spectabile 'Rosenteller': A light green cultivar of a showy species native to Korea and Northern China. It makes a lovely border plant in the garden and can grow to 18.0" tall and 15.0" wide. Like its near relative S. telephium 'Autumn Joy', 'Rosenteller' produces pink blooms in autumn, making it a choice food source in pollinator gardens. This variety goes dormant in the winter, dying back completely aboveground, but it re-sprouts each spring.
Hardy Sedum are easy, resilient plants that thrive outdoors with full sun and great drainage. Plant in raised beds or containers with drainage holes and mix 50% coarse sand, pumice, or perlite into the soil to prevent rot. Regular water will help young plants establish roots and spread quickly, but mature Sedum can tolerate several months of drought. To propagate by hand, divide the rootstock and transplant.
