Highlights
'Mini Me' (Sedum rubrotinctum): A dwarf variety of the popular Jelly Bean sedum from Mexico. This soft succulent has tiny, round leaves that spiral up its short stems. It has a lime green base with flushes of red to copper appearing with exposure to direct sun. It makes it a wonderfully colorful accent in potted arrangements.
'Mini Me' is a charming, slow grower that stays small in pots, though it can be grown outdoors as a ground cover in frost-free climates. It is exceptionally tolerant of full sun and drought, but it does need great drainage to prevent root rot. 'Mini Me' can overwinter indoors if kept near a sunny window in pots and soil that drain well. Water deeply, but only when the soil is completely dry.
Over time, 'Mini Me' can eventually spread into a small mat or spill out of a container. It can be a reluctant bloomer, but can produce clusters of tiny, yellow flowers from winter to spring. This variety is easy to propagate and will readily re-root from both stem cuttings and leaves (more info).
