Highlights
Lewisia cotyledon 'George Henley': A jade green and incredibly frost hardy herb, with bubblegum pink flowers. This plant grows as a loose rosette with many offsets, such that it almost forms a mat. This plant excels in colder climates and, unlike Sempervivum, it flowers many times in its life.
Lewisia need plenty of outdoor sunlight to thrive. They love especially gritty, well-draining soils and pots with drainage holes. They tend to be slow growers and can tolerate long droughts by going dormant in hot summers. Their showy, vibrant blooms can last from mid spring to early fall. They are incredibly frost hardy and will happily thrive through winter under an insulating blanket of snow. Protect from heavy rains and standing water in winter to prevent rot.
