As long as you're planting these indoors, your area of the country shouldn't matter. You should be good to go. The only real concerns are common to every indoor plant grower. Those are mostly, giving them enough light, and making sure not to overwater. See full answer »

The Soft Succulent Tray contains a wide assortment of temperate succulents (colorful varieties that do not tolerate frost). The Indoor Tray is a little more specific, in that all the varieties included are soft and tolerate a little lower light and grow well indoors. So there definitely are varieties that can be found in both trays. Each of the succulents in this tray comes fully rooted in its own 2" square, plastic grow pot with drainage holes. It's always good plant hygiene to replant into a new pot with well-draining soil (or in the ground if they're hardy in your Grow Zone), but your succulents can stay in the grow pots they arrive in for up to about a month after delivery if necessary. You can order up to six months in advance to guarantee that we have the trays you want in stock when you need them. Just leave us a note in the order comments during checkout as to when you want them delivered by. Succulents need grittier soil than other plants because they are adapted to dry conditions and store water in their leaves. Regular potting soil mixes stay damp for long periods of time, which can cause rot in succulents. Instead, use a sandy, well-draining soil so you can water thoroughly without leaving your succulent in standing water.
