We are located in Northern California, but we ship throughout the United States, all year long.

Each of the succulents in this tray comes fully rooted in its own 2" square, plastic grow pot with drainage holes. It's always good plant hygiene to replant into a new pot with well-draining soil (or in the ground if they're hardy in your Grow Zone), but your succulents can stay in the grow pots they arrive in for up to about a month after delivery if necessary.

Not necessarily. We make all of our sets and trays each week based on the types of succulents that are in peak season. The photos are sample only, but you will get a range of varieties that all fit the theme of the set or tray.

To pick the exact, individual plants you want, you'll want to shop here in our main catalog. Unfortunately, we cannot take specific requests in trays or sets, because we make them in bulk each week base on the varieties that are in peak season. But you'll always get a good mix of succulent types that match the theme of the tray or set.

Question about growing zone 10 cactus outside in pots. I live in Texas zone 8 See more »
2 years ago  •  Staff Answer
If you were in zone 9 there would be little tricks that could help you, but zone 8 may be stretching it. You can certainly try it with a few tricks and see how it goes.

In general, if you keep cacti dry in the winter they tend to handle the cold better. A mineral based soil that drains water well is a must if you want to attempt outside overwintering. Also, do not water at all in the winter. The plant will be dormant anyway so this won't hurt it.

You can also put these plants close to your home or other heated structure. The small amount of heat that escapes through your insulation can benefit zone 10 plants in danger of freezing.

Finally covering the plants in the winter will help keep the frost off of them and increase the probability of their survival.

Each pot is 2" by 2" by 2", but the cacti inside them vary. None of the cacti exceed 6 inches tall when potted. The group of all 25 measure 10" by 10".

I want to hand these out as a gift for the moms in the church on Mother's Day, and I plan to put single succulents into small terra cotta pots. I was just curious what would look better. I want the plant to be the focus, and I don't want it to look like it's too small for the pot, but I wasn't sure if a 2" pot would be too small to repot these into. See more »

Yes, 3" diameter pots would be a great option for transplanting the succulents in this tray individually. While they all come rooted in 2" plastic grow pots, the size of each plant can vary a little. The rosettes tend to span at least 2", while stem succulents often grow tall and narrow. We generally recommend using pots 2"-3.5" in diameter and depth for transplanting our standard 2" succulents individually upon delivery. And as always, use pots with drainage holes and pick a gritty, well-draining succulent soil.

Yes! Each succulent in this tray is individually planted in its own 2" square, plastic grow pot. So they do separate and make wonderful favors. For events, some people choose to wrap the pots in decorative paper or replant them in 2"-3" Succulent Pots.
