Product Description

Orostachys malacophyllus (macrophylla) 'Dunce's Cap': Large green rosettes form dense clumps. Outstanding rock garden plant. Good ground cover. They go dormant in the winter but return in full force in the Spring. Sun to light shade. Drought tolerant.

PLEASE NOTE: Dormant in winter months. If you order November - March, plant will arrive dormant, but will typically recover by mid-May in most areas.

Sedum Info

Sedum like well-drained, porous soil. Addition of grit or sharp sand will help porosity & drainage. Many varieties propagate by simply spreading leaves on the soil surface. To ensure division, remove top 2" of plant tips and strip lower leaves form bottom of stem. Plant in well-drained soil mix and water after 2-3 days. Do not over water! New plants should be well established after 5-6 weeks. Fertilize with a low-nitrogen fertilizer 1-2 times during growing season.
