Each variety is carefully chosen to be fully compatible, helping to ensure long-term growing success. Extra soil is included to help transplant into a larger container.

The Strawberry and Ice Trifecta begins with the large Sempervivum rosette. This plant flushes a rich, rosy pink throughout the seasons, making it the Core of this succulent design. Beautiful on its own for its broad, flower-like form, it is paired with the Complement of this arrangement - a round, cobwebbed Sempervivum. The bright, white filaments that net the hen and chicks catch ice crystals that glisten in the winter sun. The Sedum chosen as the Character for this succulent design introduces a silvery shade in gentle rosettes, pulling the Trifecta together with elegance and grace.

This Trifecta is recommended for outdoor growing with plenty of sunlight to show off their best colors. Sempervivum do most of their growing in the spring and summer, and will thrive with weekly watering and afternoon shade if temperatures exceed 80F. They are incredibly frost hardy and will happily overwinter under an insulating blanket of snow. Protect from heavy rains and standing water to prevent rot.

Plant in a container with a drainage hole and use a gritty, well-draining soil. Water deeply 2-4 days after planting. Don't water again until the soil is completely dry and the leaves just start to feel flexible.
