Highlights
Euphorbia inermis (Mill.): A rare collector's caudiciform. This medusoid Euphorbia from South Africa develops a thick main stem from which sprout rings of new branches. The green, bumpy branches have a snakey look to them. It blooms with lots of tiny, white or yellow flowers. This bare root plant ships without a pot and is roughly 3.0" to 5.0" long.
PLEASE NOTE: Euphorbia contain a white, latex sap that can cause skin irritation or allergic reaction. Use gloves and eye protection to handle.
Euphorbia will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. They need bright sunlight, great drainage, and infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 75% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. Water deeply and wait for the soil to completely dry out before watering again.
