WHAT IS MY HARDINESS ZONE?
Growing Info
- Climate: Zone 9+. Protect from frost (what's my zone?)
- Where to Grow: Echeveria can grow outdoors in partial sun if temperatures are above freezing, and they thrive indoors year-round with sufficient sun / grow light
- Acclimation: Allow about two weeks to gradually transition from bright shade to partial sun after delivery (learn more)
- Transplanting: We recommend transplanting within 1-2 weeks. If necessary, plugs can stay in original tray for several weeks with proper care
- Soil: Use well-draining soil to promote root growth and prevent rot, e.g. a cactus or succulent potting mix from your local garden center
- Watering: Water deeply and only when the soil is fully dry. Actual frequency varies by location, container, soil, and season
- Containers: Use any kind of container, but drainage holes are recommended
- Propagation: Echeveria send out new offsets that can be removed and transplanted. To propagate from leaf cuttings, remove a large leaf, allow to dry 3-5 days, then follow our Guide to Propagating Cuttings
