Mini & Fairy Gardens with Succulents

Miniature gardens and fairy gardens are a fun and creative way to use succulents.

The key to creating a credible tiny world is to imagine what you would see if you were small and could inhabit the garden.

Think about scale both with your objects and your plants. Look for succulents that remain small and that resemble grass, flowers or trees.

Placing larger plants and objects at the back of your display creates the illusion of perspective.

The other thing to take into consideration is maintenance. As the garden grows you’ll have to trim the plants to keep them the size you want. Aside from that the world is your oyster!

You can incorporate lights, or theme them for holidays.

Make a scene for an animal or a landscape for a building!

You can even repurpose objects for containers.
