Agave utahensis ssp. utahensis - Utah Agave: This subspecies has dark green to bluish-green leaves rimmed in white marginal teeth, tipped in reddish spines. Among the smaller growing Agaves, utahensis typically grow one foot tall and one foot wide. However, its flower stalk is quite tall and can reach as high as 15 feet. As utahensis come from high elevation in southwestern United States, it can tolerate colder temperatures.

Warning: very pokey. Avoid planting in walkways!
