Agave parryi 'JC Raulston': A strong grower and striking landscaping plant. 'JC Raulston' has wide, blue-green leaves lined with sharp teeth. At maturity, the plant has a globular look and can reach 3.0' wide and 2.0' tall. It produces few to no offsets or "pups", and will not invade a space like some Agave.
Agave need plenty of full, outdoor sunlight and great drainage to thrive. They do well in gritty, mineral soils and pots with drainage holes. Over time you'll see new offsets or "pups" sprout up around the base of the mother plant.
Agave grow slowly in the spring and summer and can tolerate high heat and extended drought. This variety is frost hardy and will happily thrive through winter under an insulating blanket of snow. Protect from heavy rains and standing water to prevent rot.
